The hotel's location is great with a private park and large outdoor play area for children. Rooms are cozy and spacious with 21st century facilities. Meals are served communally and often result in a relaxed and happy atmosphere.
The hotel's lack of privacy and intimate setting may not be ideal for those seeking a more romantic getaway.

The rooms, with their tranquil views over the garden, are comfortable and quiet. The attention to detail is impressive, from the relaxed atmosphere in the large salon to the inviting swimming pool that is securely accessible. We stayed at a charming hotel in a scenic location. The hotel was clean and offered great facilities such as a secure swimming pool, a library, a billiard room, and child-friendly toys like go-karts and trampolines. The breakfast was abundant with fresh pastries, fruits, and eggs cooked to our preference. The staff was friendly and accommodating, even catering to specific allergies. We had a great time staying here!
Nothing negative to say.

The first thing that struck me was the warm and friendly welcome from the staff. They immediately made me feel at ease and were incredibly helpful throughout my stay. The attention to detail was impeccable, from the beautifully retained ancient character of the building to the modern conveniences that were seamlessly incorporated. I was lucky enough to have a room with a view over the stunning private park, which added to the overall charm of the place. The breakfast was delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from.
All was perfect, couldn't have asked for more.

The combination of ancient and modern conveniences was fantastic - we felt like we were transported back in time while enjoying all the comforts of today. The hosts were extremely friendly and accommodating, and we were upgraded to a larger room, which was a lovely surprise. The wifi was consistently strong, and we loved the shower. But the best part was the playful atmosphere - from gîtes to caravans to rooms in the main building, there was something for everyone. And the dinner was truly delicious - we especially loved the beautiful table setting, which added to the magic of the evening.
Honestly, there wasn't much we disliked. If we had to nitpick, some of the older aspects of the building meant there were a few quirks and limitations in comfort.

The Abbaye Du Palais offers an incredibly relaxed atmosphere, perfect for a family-oriented getaway. The variety of accommodation options, including gîtes, rooms, and trailers, ensures that there is something for everyone. The mix of guests, ranging from tattooed retired groupies to formal civil servants, creates an interesting and welcoming environment. The highlight of our stay was dinner time, where a benevolent atmosphere was effortlessly created, and the quality of the food and service exceeded our expectations. This is truly a paradise for children, with plenty of activities and space for them to enjoy. The friendly Dutch couple who run the place made everyone, regardless of age or nationality, feel right at home. The communal dining experience may not suit everyone, but it definitely added to the charm of the place. The grounds are beautiful and well-maintained, with easy access to a secure swimming pool. Our room was spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated, with a lovely view of the garden. The common areas, such as the salon, bar, library, and billiard room. Breakfast was a delightful spread of fresh fruit, pastries, and eggs cooked to order. we were blown away by the Abbaye Du Palais and wished we had booked a longer stay. Highly recommended for a memorable and enjoyable vacation.

The location of this hotel was great, it was easy to get to and the surrounding countryside was beautiful. We loved the fact that they provided a Christmas dinner, it really made our holiday special. The communal dining area was inviting, and the atmosphere was relaxed.
The rooms were very basic and uncomfortable. The beds were small and not very supportive so we did not sleep well.

During our recent stay at a charming old abbey, my family and I were blown away by the warm and friendly atmosphere. The gypsy caravans we stayed in were cozy and provided a perfect retreat after a day of exploring. The children had an absolute blast playing on the various child-friendly toys, go-karts, trampolines, and climbing frame in the beautiful grounds. One morning, as we walked into the main house, we were greeted by a roaring fire and someone playing the piano beautifully, creating a truly magical moment. The breakfast spread was delicious, with plenty of fresh fruit, pastries, and made-to-order eggs. The communal dining experience brought everyone together, and it was wonderful to share stories and laughter with other families. Despite the lack of locks on some doors, the safe and secure environment put our minds at ease. I highly recommend Abbaye Du Palais Bed & Breakfast for a memorable family vacation where children can explore and parents can relax in a charming and welcoming setting.
